DESCRIPTION
Hallicrafters receiver SX-122A with digital display counter
This is an SX-122A that was serviced by the previous bidder about 4 years ago .

High frequency single stage amplification, intermediate frequency 1650kHz in the first stage, 50kHz in the second stage, double super, sensitivity, selectivity, stability, sound quality
The reception is pretty good.
3.5-28MHz -73dBm input is almost S-9. SSB/CW signals can be confirmed with SG at -125dBm or less input.
It operates on 100v AC with diode rectification.
The dials have a flywheel and are nice to the touch. Some of the knobs appear to be non-genuine.
We have maintained several Harikura machines, but this is the newest one (1970) with a simple circuit and easy to use.
The panel had some paint peeling in places, so I masked the letters and painted them over with a similar color clear spray can.
The base was poor, so there are some rough spots. I used a label maker to repair the missing letters. The case is made of aluminum.
There are stains, dullness and scratches.

The readings can be read directly on a homemade digital display counter. (A Chinese-made counter is fitted to a Takachi case.)
If you change the IF setting to 0kHz, it can also be used as a normal frequency counter.
There is no optional 100kHz marker.

*It has been repainted, and the front panel, dials, etc. are in pretty good condition.
